After school enrichment activities strengthen student’s self-esteem by exposing them to experiences and activities beyond regular curriculum.
Registration for Spring 2025 classes begins Monday, February 10

LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE GUITAR
Grades 3-5
Guitars are a fun and exciting instrument – and studies have shown that children who are involved in music are more successful in school due to the development of enhanced concentration, self-confidence and patience. In this popular after school enrichment class, your child will be encouraged to express their own individuality in a creative and supportive environment.
When: Class begins Tuesday, March 18 from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
How Long: Class is every Tuesday for six weeks. Dates are: 3/18, 3/25, 4/1, 4/8, 4/22, 4/29

LEARNING ABOUT THE ELEMENTS OF ART
Grades 2-5
In this new after school enrichment class, students will explore the seven basic elements of art: line, shape, form, space, value, texture and color. Learning about these elements are essential for artistic skill and creative development. Each week, one of these elements will be the focus in the class, providing the building blocks for art appreciation and self-expression.
When: Class begins Thursday, March 20 from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
How Long: Class is every Thursday for six weeks. Dates are: 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/24, 5/1

Who: Mrs. Benn, 3rd grade teacher at Sierra Elementary
