After School Enrichment Classes!

After school enrichment activities strengthen student’s self-esteem by exposing them to experiences and activities beyond regular curriculum.

Registration for Winter 2025 classes begins Monday, December 2

Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early

registration is recommended. Registration forms are available here to print as well as in the school office.


CREATIVE DANCE AND INTRO TO BALLET & TAP

GRADES TK-1

In this lively after school enrichment class, students will explore the art of dance in a playful and supportive environment. Introduction to basic ballet and tap steps (special shoes not required) through songs, props and rhythmic expression will enhance individual creativity.

When: Class begins Tuesday, January 14 from 3:00-4:00p.m.

How Long: Class is every Tuesday for six weeks. Dates are: 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18

FUN WITH ARTS AND CRAFTS

Grades TK-2

The benefits of art and craft activities go far beyond just being fun. Studies show that the process of producing art actually helps support children in almost all areas of their development! From rock painting to constructing wind chimes, younger students will be able to imaginatively express themselves in this creative, non-judgmental after school enrichment class.

When: Class begins Thursday, January 16 from 3:00-4:00p.m.

How Long: Class is every Thursday for six weeks. Dates are: 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20

 Where:  Room 19

NEWSPAPER CLUB

GRADES 4-5

Learning to communicate, write articles, take great photos and work with deadlines is what the Sierra School Dragon’s Newspaper Club is all about! Along with building confidence and teamwork, students will increase their imaginations and parents will enjoy a valuable record of their children’s creative talents for years to come.

When: Class begins Tuesday, January 14 from 3:00-4:00p.m.

How Long: Class is every Tuesday for six weeks. Dates are: 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18

  DRAMA CLUB

GRADES 3-5

Self-expression, creativity and fun – that’s what this popular after school enrichment class is all about! Learning how to act and preparing for a performance will encourage your child to be imaginative and spontaneous while in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

When: Class begins Tuesday, January 14 from 3:00-4:00p.m.

How Long: Class is every Tuesday for six weeks. Dates are: 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18

Where:  Room 12
