Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration Announcement

The Placerville Union School District announces that Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year begins Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Please follow the link on our District website to fill out and submit the online registration application. Chromebooks are available for use at the District Office or, for those who require them, paper registration packets are also available at the District Office if needed.

In addition to the enrollment application (either online or on paper), a copy of your child’s birth certificate, their current and complete immunization record, and proof of residency within our district boundaries will be required to complete your child’s registration. If you are unable to submit these documents electronically via the online enrollment application, hard copies can be brought to the District Office. At that time, we will also require your signature on the enrollment application, as well as completion of a handful of other required documents.

School-of-choice placement will be guaranteed for siblings of older students already enrolled at one of our elementary schools, provided the full enrollment process is complete on or before February 29th. Otherwise, registration for school site preference will be on a first come, first served basis.

If your child will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2024, you may register them for Kindergarten. Children who will turn five years old between September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025 will be placed in Transitional Kindergarten.
