It is a true honor to be the Superintendent of the Placerville Union School District.  I feel it a privilege every day to be able to serve the students, families and staff that are part of the PUSD family.  I have had the privilege of working in education since 1994 and have been part of the education community in El Dorado County since 2008 and in my opinion PUSD has some of the most dedicated and inspiring educators I have ever been around.

PUSD is made up of 3 award winning schools, Sierra Elementary, Schnell Elementary and Markham Middle School.  The student centered and innovative work that these three schools are built upon has been honored by statewide recognition and highlighted in conference presentations throughout the state.  PUSD cares about the whole child.  We have high expectations academically, while providing the support needed for students to reach those expectations.  Along with the academic support we are fortunate to be able to provide high level social emotional and mental health services on all of our campuses.

Parents, you are welcome at PUSD.  We want you to be involved however you are able to.  If that means volunteering in the classroom, being part of our PTC’s or even attending events that are held on our campuses, we want you here.  We know that the more connected parents and students are to the school campus the more successful our students will be.  If you have any ideas on how we can even do better please share.
