Principal’s Message

Dear Schnell Families,

As your Principal of Louisiana Schnell Elementary School,  I especially want to welcome you.  I really hope you had a fantastic summer traveling and spending precious moments with families, friends, and pets.  My wife, my dog, and I were able to travel to the Mendocino coast as we adore the ocean and the cooler weather.  We visited the botanical garden in Mendocino and enjoyed a nice cup of clam chowder.  

As your principal, I deeply care for the success of each student.  The elementary years are critical times of development for students and families alike, so let’s work together to make each year successful. I am also a lifelong educator who brings a firm commitment to students and families as well as a love of learning and problem solving.

Educational research shows that your parental involvement is beneficial to your child’s education. These benefits include higher levels of academic achievement, positive attitude, and greater maturity and responsibility. Since the benefits are so solid, I urge you to take part as much as possible in the life of our school. Your assistance as a volunteer would be extremely valuable to our students.  There are many opportunities where your help would be appreciated.

Please know that I am available to meet with you in person or talk to you over the telephone to discuss any concerns you may have. I look forward to a great year and to meeting all our new children and their families.
